The HR Consultant will provide strategic HR guidance, conduct an HR audit, and mentor the internal HR team to establish strong policies, programs, and compliance practices to support organizational growth. This is a part-time, 3-month consulting engagement (5–10 hours/week) with the potential for extension.
Worksite Location: Hybrid – primarily remote with flexibility to be onsite at the Eagan office as needed.
Salary Range: Hourly Rate range is $55-$65

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic HR consulting and mentorship to internal HR professional
- Assess current HR programs, policies, and compliance practices; identify gaps and propose solutions
- Develop and implement SOPs, policies, and programs to support compliance and mitigate risk
- Advise on performance management systems to support leadership development and retention
- Support rollout of a pilot hybrid work program planned for 2025
- Evaluate and optimize HRIS functionality (ADP Workforce Now)
- Serve as a thought partner to leadership, helping shape HR practices that align with company culture and growth objectives
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience supporting startups or small, fast-growing businesses with diverse (white/blue-collar) workforces
- Deep HR expertise in compliance, policy development, and risk management
- Strong mentoring and coaching skills to develop internal HR capabilities
- Familiarity with HRIS systems, particularly ADP Workforce Now
- Ability to balance strategic and hands-on HR consulting work
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills
