The Interim Payroll & Paycor Consultant will lead a focused evaluation and cleanup of the organization's payroll operations, systems, and practices. This includes reviewing current compliance processes, auditing data integrity, and optimizing functionality within the Paycor platform. The consultant will collaborate closely with HR team members to streamline payroll execution and ensure the system is configured to support accuracy, consistency, and long-term sustainability.

Worksite Location: Hybrid - SE Metro Area

Salary Range: Hourly rate between $65–$75, DOE

Roles & Responsibilities:

Audit current payroll processes, workflows, and controls to identify errors, gaps, and compliance risks
Ensure payroll practices align with all applicable state requirements, with a specific focus on Minnesota compliance
Review the Paycor configuration and optimize payroll-related modules to support accuracy and efficiency
Partner with HR team members and leaders to correct data issues and establish standardized procedures
Provide recommendations for improved payroll operations, documentation, and ongoing management

Required Skills & Experience:

Expertise in payroll processing, payroll audits, payroll controls, and state compliance (Minnesota required)
Hands-on experience with Paycor, including implementation, optimization, and module configuration
Background supporting payroll for mid-sized organizations (approx. 250 employees)
Experience working in fast-paced, multi-shift environments (manufacturing preferred)
Strong analytical and troubleshooting capability related to payroll data and system accuracy
