Interim Revenue Accountant

The Manager, Revenue Accounting will play a key role in ensuring accurate and compliant revenue recognition across global operations. This newly created position will partner closely with Financial Reporting, FP&A, and Controllership to support the monthly and quarterly close process, enhance revenue analytics, and help drive process and system improvements as the company continues to grow through acquisitions and new revenue streams.

Worksite Location: Hybrid work arrangement in the Minneapolis–St. Paul metro area. Open to remote.

Salary: Hourly rate $60-$80 DOE

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and timely global revenue recognition in compliance with ASC 606 and company policy.
  • Partner with Financial Reporting on technical accounting matters related to contracts, partnerships, and new revenue streams.
  • Drive execution of revenue accounting treatments within ERP and sub-ledger systems across multiple revenue types.
  • Collaborate with FP&A to develop and monitor revenue analytics to identify discrepancies and support business decision-making.
  • Own the month-end and quarter-end close process for revenue accounts, including journal entry review, reconciliations, and account analysis.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and SOX compliance for revenue accounting processes.
  • Support preparation of revenue disclosures and audit documentation.
  • Oversee end-to-end revenue processes and implement improvements to minimize manual intervention.
  • Support ERP implementation to ensure proper revenue recognition design and functionality.
  • Partner globally to resolve revenue recognition application issues and improve processes.
  • Assist with M&A initiatives, including diligence and post-acquisition revenue integration.
  • Lead and support process improvement, systems initiatives, and finance transformation projects.
  • Mentor and develop a small team to execute revenue accounting priorities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including FP&A, SOX, Financial Reporting, and global accounting teams.
  • Support corporate finance and strategic initiatives as assigned.


Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a SaaS environment.
  • Strong expertise in revenue accounting and ASC 606.
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and SOX compliance.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and highly collaborative working style.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial systems.
