Interim. Sr. HR Business Partner (ID:47066)

Our client is seeking a strategic Senior HR Business Partner to support key business units through an important period of transition and help align goals to drive the company forward. This exciting full-time, hybrid contract role will begin at the end of July and continue through the end of the year. The Sr. HR Business Partner will support both a maternity leave and leadership transition, with responsibility for HR strategy and operations for the manufacturing/engineering and order operations teams. The role requires someone who can work independently, build trust with diverse employee populations, and influence senior leadership.

Worksite Location: Hybrid – 2 days/week onsite across two Minneapolis-area facilities.

Salary Range: Hourly Rate between $55-$70

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Serve as strategic HRBP to business leaders across assigned client groups
  • Advise on talent strategy, org design, headcount planning, performance management, and employee relations
  • Lead or support employee programs, change initiatives, and cultural alignment efforts
  • Partner on talent review, succession planning, and leadership development
  • Handle sensitive ER matters, including investigations, performance coaching, and terminations
  • Leverage data and analytics to identify trends and propose HR solutions
  • Guide organizational effectiveness and change management initiatives
  • Operate effectively in a matrixed environment, collaborating cross-functionally with broader HR and business leadership
  • Act as a trusted advisor and point of contact for the field/blue-collar workforce in manufacturing and operations

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience
  • 3–5 years of experience as an HR Business Partner, preferably in manufacturing/engineering
  • Strong employee relations experience required
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (Master's degree preferred)
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred
  • Experience working in a matrixed organization is a plus
  • Ability to operate independently with minimal direction in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and influencing skills
  • Strong judgment and discretion; proactive and results-driven approach
  • Business acumen with the ability to align HR strategy with organizational goals
