Process Engineer

This position reports to the Plant Manager and is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving manufacturing processes for prototype, pre-production, and production applications. The Process Engineer will work closely with engineering, production, quality, and other cross-functional teams to improve productivity, quality, efficiency, and overall manufacturing performance. This individual will also provide direction and support to manufacturing technicians and setup personnel.
Worksite Location: On-site position in west-central Minnesota
Salary: Salary range depends on experience, with an anticipated range of $80,000–$90,000, plus additional incentive opportunities.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement manufacturing processes for new and existing products.
- Work with engineering and production teams to establish effective manufacturing methods and process parameters.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and operating procedures.
- Establish, monitor, and maintain process parameters to ensure consistent production and process control.
- Verify production setups and provide hands-on support when needed.
- Develop and maintain methods for measuring and tracking continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure products meet established quality standards and customer requirements.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing and quality issues and implement effective corrective actions.
- Analyze and resolve complex manufacturing and process-related problems.
- Collaborate with customer and internal engineering teams to improve product manufacturability.
- Identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency, reduce waste, improve quality, and lower manufacturing costs.
- Evaluate manufacturing processes for profitability, efficiency, capacity, and overall effectiveness.
- Participate in quality and continuous improvement programs as assigned.
- Support the development and training of manufacturing personnel.
- Promote a positive, collaborative work environment.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, business, or a related field preferred; equivalent hands-on manufacturing experience will also be considered.
- 5–10 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or process engineering environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in a high-volume or complex manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes.
- Experience troubleshooting manufacturing and quality issues.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Experience working with manufacturing software, production monitoring systems, or ERP/MES systems.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, procedures, and technical documentation.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify defects, inconsistencies, and non-conformances.
- Ability to work effectively with engineering, production, quality, and other cross-functional teams.
- Hands-on, practical approach to problem-solving with the ability to work directly on the manufacturing floor.
