This exciting position will lead a group of eight lab technicians to ensure a high level of performance, emphasizing safety and the production of consistently high-quality products.
Salary Range: $115-$140k/yr. DOQ
Location: On-site position located in a Tulsa, OK suburb.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Establish and lead the application of standards for the Quality Control staff, ensuring that products released for shipment to customers are in specification and within statistical control (where applicable)
- Constructively work with the Production staff to resolve and correct production techniques or practices that result in quality problems and/or decreased productivity
- Interact with the Research & Development staff, on behalf of the Manufacturing group, to ensure that (i) new formulations are within the capabilities of the Production staff, and (ii) the R & D staff quickly resolves problem formulations not correctable by improved production techniques
- Collaborate with the Corporate Statistical Process and Statistical Quality Control coordinator (SPC/SQC) to develop and implement an effective program among Quality Control personnel, and subsequently, among Production and Maintenance personnel.
- Supervise activities to ensure that all data generated during the manufacturing of finished products is accurate and entered into the computer system in a timely manner
- Review all base resin quality and yield analysis for accuracy and ensure that this information is accurate and entered into the computer in a timely fashion
- Maintain plant ISO 9001 certification.
- Participate in the plant's efforts to decrease the level of mixed resins in inventory in the following ways:
- Develop programs to ensure that manufacturing techniques do not allow errors that result in the downgrading of good product
- Participate in the current program to aggressively work off mixed resin in the selected blend resin
- Ensure that lab equipment is maintained correctly and, in cooperation with both the R & D group and the Maintenance staff, ensure that a calibration schedule is followed on all plant scales
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's in chemistry or related field or equivalent
- 3 + years of experience in a reactive batch process
- 3 + years of experience in a lab environment
- 3 + years of experience supervising employees
- 3-5+ years of experience in quality control and root cause analysis
- 3-5+ years of manufacturing experience in a chemical plant environment or related
- 3 + years working with ISO programs.
