We seek a Senior Accountant responsible for the timely preparation of monthly financial statements and other accounting and reporting functions. You will be part of something special. Worksite Location: Hybrid position with office located in Minneapolis, MN.

Salary Range: $80k - $95k/yr. base salary

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Prepare various month-end schedules and post related journal entries
  • Accurately update and maintain various schedules to reconcile to the general ledger
  • Assist with the preparation of financial reports, including but not limited to internal monthly financial statements, internal reporting for management, annual audits, and the tax preparation process
  • Assist with daily cash disbursements, wires, and loan fundings, conforming to various bank agreements and company policies
  • Review and approve various support schedules and reconciliations
  • Perform various treasury management functions, including warehouse facility projections, cash utilization, and liquidity analyses
  • Assist with the preparation of tax returns and annual reports for multiple states and companies
  • Assist with the implementation of strategic initiatives that drive growth and operational improvements
  • Assist with implementing new accounting standards and performing accounting research
  • Provide back-up support to other Finance team members as needed

Required Skills & Experience:

  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required
  • 3+ years of relevant accounting/finance experience
  • Understanding of commercial real estate and mortgage banking preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP
  • Previous experience working in Microsoft Dynamics GP and Salesforce is helpful, but not required
  • High degree of computer skills, including proficiency in a variety of accounting applications, Excel spreadsheets (pivot tables, various formulas, working with large amounts of data), and various other Microsoft Office products
  • Strong general ledger and financial statements working knowledge
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Demonstrated organization skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and assignments; able to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to reflect the level of responsibilities
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform self-review
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information
