We're partnering on a Senior Project Accountant opportunity with a growing manufacturing organization. This role will lead revenue recognition, WIP analysis, and project costing in a complex environment, with a strong focus on ASC 606 compliance. It partners closely with Project Management, Operations, and Finance to deliver key insights and support continued growth. Ideal candidates will bring broad accounting experience, a strong GAAP foundation, and a passion for improving processes in a dynamic setting.
Worksite Location: This role is located in the Northwest Suburbs of the Twin Cities.
Salary: $90k - $110k/yr base salary

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Perform revenue recognition analysis in compliance with company policies and accounting standards
- Track and analyze project costs, providing margin and project health insights to leadership
- Conduct WIP (Work-in-Progress) reporting and analysis to maintain accurate project financials
- Perform deferred and unbilled revenue analysis to ensure appropriate revenue recognition
- Support revenue forecasting for ongoing and upcoming projects
- Manage commission accounting, ensuring timely and accurate commission payments based on project billings
- Prepare financial reports for project managers and leadership to support strategic decision-making
- Assist with month-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations related to projects
- Support ERP project accounting module integration and enhancements
- Partner with business leaders to understand operational processes and identify potential issues
- Lead continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance accuracy and efficiency
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 7 years of accounting experience, preferably with a project/revenue focus
- Experience in Project-Based Engineering & Manufacturing organization
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including lookups and advanced formulas
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to partner cross-functionally
- Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines
- Strong analytical thinking, organizational skills, and attention to detail
