Provide strategic and operational direction to ensure the attainment of business objectives. Oversee revenue and profit goals, revise objectives in response to changing conditions, and coordinate interdepartmental operations. Establish responsibilities and procedures to achieve objectives while aligning with organizational goals. Manage financial performance and ensure profitability.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Develop policies and standards to minimize costs associated with IT system acquisition, implementation, and operation.
- Manage vendor relationships across business units.
- Monitor key performance indicators to ensure customer satisfaction and operational excellence. Address escalated problems and communicate with senior leadership and customers.
- Ensure compliance with software and hardware licensing through established processes.
- Identify training gaps through analysis. Define and oversee advancement requirements.
- Lead performance management processes, including coaching, annual reviews, and regular feedback.
- Oversee daily operations to meet service level agreements (SLAs). Maintain and improve operational procedures.
- Support annual planning initiatives for IT, information security, and data center operations.
- Track performance metrics and budget adherence; report quarterly to senior leadership.
- Manage annual operating expenses and identify cost savings.
- Travel as needed for internal needs and client audits.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field or equivalent experience.
- 15+ years' experience, including 10–13 years in management, with background in:
- Managing production data centers and customer SLAs
- Implementing best practice processes and support structures
- Leading teams of 20+ staff
- Working with global telecommunications infrastructure
- Quality control initiatives
- Organizational change management
- Building and scaling high-volume data centers
- Budget creation and financial oversight
- Developing IT service models aligned with ITIL
- Defining and communicating business-focused metrics
- Implementing global shared IT service models
- Coaching and developing future IT leaders
Additional Comments:
This position requires availability to support 24x7 operations and respond to urgent situations outside of standard business hours.
Worksite Location: On-Site/Hybrid role in Minneapolis, MN
Salary Range: $200,000-$250,000/yr Base Salary + Bonus
