VP Operational Excellence (ID:47365)
The Vice President of Operational Excellence (VP OpEx) is a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, collaborating closely with the Vice Presidents and General Managers of multiple business segments. Reporting directly to the CEO, the VP OpEx drives a culture of continuous improvement, leading strategic projects and initiatives that enhance revenue, protect margins, and optimize processes. While not a direct P&L owner, this role is fully accountable for initiatives that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and strengthen overall financial performance. Given the company's operational model and customer base, deep experience within the heavy equipment dealer industry, preferably in agriculture, construction, or automotive, is essential to ensure credibility, accelerate impact, and effectively guide transformational change across the organization.

Salary Range: Base Salary - $250k/ year +, plus bonus and LTI

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define and execute short-, medium-, and long-term operational initiatives aligned with organizational growth strategies.
- Partner with Directors of Operations to plan, manage, and implement strategic projects and process improvements
- Drive operational rigor by effectively deploying service tools, systems, and scheduling models.
- Promote scalable, monetized service offerings while maintaining a customer-first focus.
- Monitor financial performance, provide budget analysis, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Implement efficiency improvements and cost reduction initiatives across operations.
- Foster teamwork and collaboration across business segments.
- Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to maintain a competitive advantage.
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership on progress, challenges, and opportunities.s
Initial Projects / Focus
- Gain a thorough understanding of operational processes to execute ""uick wins""that build momentum and engagement.
- Develop and manage reporting frameworks to measure workstreams, KPIs, and EBITDA results.
- Identify areas for improvement in aftermarket operations and implement actionable strategies.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Knowledge of heavy equipment dealer (Ag, Construction, Auto) industry best practices and emerging trends in business transformation is strongly preferred
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field- an MBA or a relevant master's degree is preferred
- 15+ years of experience in senior management roles, with a focus on business operations and change management
- Lean Six Sigma Black or Green Belt, CMQ/OE, or CSC certification preferred
- Proven track record of successfully leading and implementing larger-scale, meaningful business initiatives
- Excellent leadership and communication abilities
- Proven business and financial acumen
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong prioritization skills to be able to navigate dependencies and high-value opportunities
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to understand the long-term ("big picture") and short-term perspectives of situations
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
