April 14, 2014 — Executive search and consulting firm Versique, along with sister company McKinley Consulting, announced today it will kick off its third annual women’s professional clothing drive to support local nonprofit, Dress for Success. The drive will take place from April 24 to May 8, 2014. Last year, the drive resulted in the single-largest donation to the Twin Cities branch of Dress for Success ever, with a total of 42 large bags of professional women’s attire.

Dress for Success is an international nonprofit organization that promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support, and career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. Versique’s company culture and core values prioritize supporting the community and finding meaningful ways to give back to local organizations. With its large network of professional connections across human resources, sales, finance/accounting, etc., a clothing drive for professional attire is a natural fit for Versique.

As in the past, Versique also plans to host interview workshops for Dress for Success recipients to hone their skills and help prepare them for the workforce. More information about these workshops will be provided as it becomes available.
Final Drop-Off and Happy Hour Celebration
Clothing donations can be dropped off at the Versique/McKinley Consulting offices at 6465 Wayzata Blvd., Suite #970, Minneapolis. Participants are encouraged to make donation drop-offs at any time during the drive or to bring donations to the Dress for Success Final Drop-Off/Happy Hour Celebration event, which will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 8 at the Versique/McKinley Consulting offices. The evening will include mingling, networking, hors d’oeuvres, and music by Mick Sterling, who will be representing The 30-Days Foundation.
Acceptable donations include professional women’s attire: skirt and pant suits, blouses, blazers and jackets, shoes, jewelry, handbags and briefcases, and coats (from any season). Regrettably, the following donations cannot be accepted: non-interview appropriate attire, sportswear or causal clothes, evening wear, used undergarments, used cosmetics, used pantyhose, and men’s clothing.
Financial donations are welcomed. Checks can be made out to “Dress for Success Twin Cities” and can either sent to Versique’s office or delivered the evening of the Dress for Success Happy Hour.
