Director of FP&A (ID:45222)
We seek a strong leader for an exciting and newly created Director of FP & A position at a growing medical manufacturing company in the West Metro!

Reporting to the CFO, the Director of FP&A will lead financial planning, forecasting, and analysis activities, pivotal in driving financial performance, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring the organization's overall financial health.


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of the annual budgeting process, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, financial targets, and industry benchmarks.
  • Collaborate with department heads to establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and optimize financial performance.
  • Drive the recurring latest estimate and forecasting processes, providing accurate and insightful financial projections to support operational planning.
  • Conduct variance analysis and scenario modeling to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, presenting findings to senior leadership.
  • Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic initiatives, business development opportunities, and investment decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the financial impact of various business scenarios and recommend optimal courses of action.
  • Develop and enhance financial analysis tools to give senior leadership clear, concise, and actionable insights.
  • Prepare and present regular financial analysis, highlighting key metrics, trends, and areas for improvement.
  • Build and maintain complex financial models to support scenario analysis, investment decisions, and long-term financial planning.
  • Evaluate the financial impact of various business strategies and recommend adjustments as needed.
  • Work closely with various departments, including operations, new business development, supply chain, and R&D, to gather relevant information and insights for financial analysis.
  • Collaborate with accounting to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements. 
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Demonstrate continuous improvement and promote a progressive quality culture.
  • Successfully attain performance period accountabilities established by the employee and their supervisor.
  • Comply with corporate policies and procedures.


Required Skills and Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, focusing on publicly traded companies.
  • Experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in financial software, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Leadership experience.
