Interim IT Delivery Manager
Saint Michael, MN – Onsite

We are seeking an experienced IT Delivery Manager to support the planning, coordination, and execution of a diverse portfolio of technology initiatives within a growing organization. This role is ideal for a highly organized professional who enjoys bringing structure, visibility, and accountability to complex projects while working across multiple stakeholders, business functions, and external partners. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing delivery roadmaps, facilitating governance processes, coordinating project dependencies, and providing clear communication and reporting to leadership. Success in this role requires strong project and program management capabilities, excellent organizational and communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to proactively manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. This position focuses on enabling successful delivery outcomes through collaboration, process improvement, stakeholder alignment, and effective execution rather than direct people management or technical decision-making, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across a broad range of strategic technology initiatives

Worksite Location: Saint Michael, MN – Onsite      
Hourly Rate: $65-70 DOE

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Own and maintain the technology roadmap, ensuring priorities, dependencies, timelines, capacity, and delivery status remain current and visible across multiple initiatives.
  • Lead recurring delivery meetings, status reviews, and coordination activities, ensuring risks, issues, and blockers are identified, communicated, and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate release planning, implementation readiness activities, and deployment milestones to support successful project execution and go-live events.
  • Manage project dependencies, action items, decisions, and follow-up activities, driving accountability and tracking progress through completion.
  • Serve as the primary point of coordination for external vendors, consultants, and implementation partners, ensuring alignment to scope, deliverables, schedules, and contractual commitments.
  • Support project intake and prioritization processes by documenting business needs, expected outcomes, resource requirements, and implementation considerations.
  • Develop and maintain reporting materials that provide leadership with clear visibility into project health, milestones, risks, resource utilization, and portfolio progress.
  • Prepare and facilitate governance meetings, steering committee reviews, and stakeholder communications to support decision-making and organizational alignment.
  • Create, document, and improve project management processes, templates, and operational procedures to drive consistency and efficiency.
  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to coordinate activities across multiple workstreams while ensuring projects remain aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices that enhance delivery effectiveness, communication, and execution.
  • Support knowledge transfer activities and establish sustainable delivery practices that can be maintained beyond the contract engagement.

Required Experience

  • Experience coordinating complex technology projects, programs, or portfolios involving multiple stakeholders, teams, and dependencies. Proven ability to manage project plans, schedules, risks, issues, priorities, and competing business demands.

  • Experience utilizing project management and work tracking tools such as Jira or similar platforms.

  • Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

  • Experience working with third-party vendors, consulting partners, and external service providers.

  • Ability to influence stakeholders, facilitate discussions, and drive accountability without direct management responsibility.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience creating executive-level status reports and presentations.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating delivery risks.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams.

  • Proficiency with project management, collaboration, reporting, and business productivity tools.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience supporting ERP implementations, enterprise software deployments, or large-scale business transformation programs.
  • Background working in manufacturing, distribution, industrial, operational, or similarly complex business environments.
  • Experience establishing project intake, prioritization, governance, or portfolio management processes.
  • Project management certifications such as PMP, CAPM, PMI-ACP, or equivalent.
  • Experience working within lean, mid-sized, or rapidly growing organizations where adaptability and hands-on execution are essential.
