Interim Senior HR Generalist

The Senior HR Generalist will join a small but mighty HR team supporting a nationally distributed workforce of employees. This consultant will play a key role in day-to-day HR operations, serving as a first point of contact for employee relations, benefits and leave administration, compliance, and HR systems support, while contributing to HR initiatives and projects tied to growth. This is a great opportunity for a proactive HR professional who thrives in evolving environments and enjoys balancing tactical execution with thoughtful partnership.

Worksite Location: Hybrid - Minneapolis, MN

Salary Range: Hourly rate between $40-$50, DOE

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Support day-to-day HR operations across the employee lifecycle
  • Serve as first-line support for employee relations questions and concerns
  • Administer benefits and leaves of absence; respond to employee inquiries
  • Ensure HR compliance, reporting, and data integrity across systems
  • Partner with the HR team on process improvements, audits, and HR projects
  • Support HR programs such as open enrollment, development planning, and compensation cycles

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 6+ years of progressive HR experience in a generalist or similar role
  • Strong background in benefits administration, leave management, and HR compliance
  • Experience supporting multi-state or distributed employee populations
  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms (ADP Workforce Now preferred) and HR reporting
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; detail-oriented and systems savvy
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
