Manufacturing Operations Manager (ID:44571)
Our client is a privately held manufacturing company based in Minnesota that has been around for 50 years.  They design and engineer extremely high-quality air filtration systems that are used across multiple industries.

Operations Manager will ensure safe and efficient operations; serve as a company representative on regulatory issues; enhance the operational procedure, systems, and principles in the areas of information flow and management, business processes, enhanced management reporting, and look for opportunities to expand systems; carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies and applicable laws.

Manage overall operations and responsible for the effective and successful management of labor, productivity, quality control, and safety measures as established and set for the Operations Department.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Part of the leadership team of the company.
  • Recruit, select, train, assign, schedule, coach, counsel, and discipline employees.
  • Communicate job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions.
  • Contribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; prepare and complete action plans; implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolve problems; complete audits; identify trends.
  • Develop operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements; develop, implement, enforce, and evaluate. policies and procedures; develop processes for receiving product, equipment utilization, inventory management, and shipping.
  • Manage Purchasing and Production planning functions. 
  • Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.
  • Meet or exceed operations labor budget expectations.
  • Responsible for all department managers, supervisors and leads, with review/approval responsibility for all operations employees.
  • Manage relationships with key operations vendors.
  • Communicate customer issues with operations team and devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints.
  • Work closely with the inventory manager and team to perform analysis of our inventory and ensure we are utilizing our inventory effectively, purchasing the right items, and maintaining solid inventory data.
  • Ensure all processes remain compliant with OSHA health and safety regulations and other governmental regulations.


Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 8-10 + years of Manufacturing/Production leadership
  • 8+ years of experience working cross functionally supporting a sales-oriented company. 
  • High degree of business acumen.
  • Strong culture fit-respectful sense of urgency and strong follow up cross functionally.
