We are seeking an experienced Application Product Manager to support a critical legacy application migration initiative. This is a short-term contract opportunity for a highly skilled professional who can quickly ramp up, engage stakeholders, and translate institutional knowledge into clear, actionable functional requirements.

This role will be instrumental in uncovering and documenting business processes, workflows, and system functionality. The ideal candidate excels at building relationships with stakeholders and independently driving requirements discovery efforts in a fast-paced environment.

Worksite Location: Edina, MN – Hybrid
Hourly Rate: $55-60 DOE

Roles & Responsibilities:

Conduct interviews and workshops with business users, subject matter experts, and key stakeholders to understand current-state processes and application functionality.
Elicit, analyze, and document detailed business and functional requirements to support a legacy application migration.
Map business workflows, decision points, process exceptions, and system interactions.
Identify gaps, inconsistencies, and undocumented business rules through stakeholder discussions.
Translate complex business needs into clear, organized, and actionable requirements documentation.
Coordinate and manage stakeholder meetings, follow-ups, and information-gathering activities.
Track open questions, dependencies, and risks to ensure timely resolution.
Collaborate closely with project teams to ensure requirements are complete, accurate, and aligned with migration objectives.
Work independently with minimal oversight while maintaining strong communication with project leadership.

Required Experience:

5-7+ years of experience in Product Management, Business Analysis, Requirements Analysis, or a related discipline.
Proven experience leading functional requirements discovery for enterprise software applications.
Strong expertise in requirements elicitation, stakeholder interviewing, and business process analysis.
Demonstrated ability to document complex workflows and translate business needs into detailed functional requirements.
Exceptional communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
Ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and drive work forward with limited direction.
Experience supporting application modernization, migration, or transformation initiatives.

Preferred Experience:

Experience working with legacy application environments.
Background in software implementation, system migration, or digital transformation projects.
Familiarity with process mapping and requirements management methodologies.
Experience working with cross-functional business and technology teams.
