Interim Benefits Analyst

The Interim Benefits Analyst will provide full-time support across benefits administration, compliance, and vendor coordination during a team transition. This role will focus on maintaining day-to-day benefits operations, managing leave programs, supporting audits, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The consultant will partner closely with HR leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure continuity and accuracy across all benefits programs.

Worksite Location:?Onsite – Minneapolis, MN

Salary Range: Hourly rate between $40-$50, DOE

Benefits: Versique benefits include medical, dental, vision, accident/critical illness insurance, MN ESST, MN PFML, and a 401(k) with company match.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Administer day-to-day employee benefit programs, including health and welfare, retirement, and voluntary benefits
  • Manage benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations, ensuring accurate tracking and deductions
  • Reconcile monthly benefits invoices and support financial accuracy
  • Coordinate and administer leave of absence programs in partnership with third-party vendors
  • Support 401(k) plan administration, including audit preparation and compliance activities
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations (e.g., ERISA, ACA, COBRA, FMLA, HIPAA)
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee and manager benefit inquiries
  • Partner with vendors, brokers, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain relationships
  • Assist with open enrollment preparation and execution
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency through system utilization

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in benefits administration and analysis
  • Strong knowledge of benefits compliance, including ERISA, ACA, COBRA, FMLA, and related regulations
  • Experience supporting 401(k) administration and audit processes
  • Familiarity with leave of absence administration and vendor coordination
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical capabilities
  • Experience working with HRIS systems (e.g., UKG or similar)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to support employees at all levels
  • Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
