Financial Reporting Manager (ID:45200)
Lead the Financial reporting for this exciting Minnesota company as they are primed for growth.

Manage and the financial reporting function and activities to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting the organization’s commitment to transparency and accountability.  

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation and submission of accurate and timely external financial statements, including quarterly and annual reports, in compliance with SEC regulations and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary financial information and disclosures for external reporting.

  • Assist in internal financial reporting as may be required.

  • Prepare external reporting to lenders.

  • Stay current with changes in SEC regulations, accounting standards, and disclosure requirements to ensure the organization’s ongoing compliance.

  • Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate the audit process and ensure a smooth and efficient review of financial statements.

  • Assist in the design and maintenance of effective internal controls related to financial reporting processes.

  • Work closely with internal audit and compliance teams to identify and address control deficiencies and implement improvements.

  • Research and interpret accounting guidance to address complex accounting issues and ensure accurate financial reporting.

  • Provide guidance to other company stakeholders on the application of accounting standards and treatment of various transactions.

  • Collaborate with the finance and accounting teams, legal, other departments, and external investor relations team to ensure accurate and consistent financial reporting.

  • Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors, legal advisors, and regulatory bodies regarding financial reporting matters.

  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment.

  • Demonstrate continuous improvement and promote a progressive quality culture.

  • Successfully attain performance period accountabilities established by the employee and their supervisor.

  • Successfully attain budget/business objectives.

  • Comply with corporate policies and procedures.

  • Comply with regulatory and industry standards.


Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

  • CPA required

  • Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in financial reporting, preferably with a focus on SEC reporting within a publicly traded company.

  • In-depth knowledge of US GAAP, SEC regulations, and Sarbanes-Oxley Act compliance.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely.

  • Proficient in financial software, including financial reporting software such as Workiva, and Microsoft Excel.
