Our client is searching for an interim Learning and Development consultant with pertinent project management experience in handling project plans. The ideal candidate will have a background in working with the technical industry. Our client seeks a collaborative, receptive individual who thrives in fast-paced environments, capable of working autonomously to propel learning and development initiatives forward.

Worksite Location: Bloomington, MN – Hybrid Opportunity

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute learning and development projects from inception to completion.
  • Create detailed project plans, establish timelines, and monitor progress to ensure timely delivery of objectives.
  • Collaborate with leaders and employees from various departments to identify learning needs and develop relevant training programs.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to gain insights and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Work closely with subject matter experts to gather content and resources for training materials. 
  • Develop engaging and interactive learning modules, workshops, and presentations tailored to the target audience's needs.
  • Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and seminars, both in-person and virtually, to educate employees on technical skills, leadership development, and other relevant topics. 
  • Adapt delivery methods to accommodate different learning styles and preferences.
  • Conduct evaluations to assess the effectiveness of learning initiatives. 
  • Analyze feedback and performance data to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for future enhancements.
  • Utilize learning management systems (LMS) and other technology platforms to deliver, track, and evaluate training programs. 
  • Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in learning technology to optimize the learning experience.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance the quality and impact of learning and development programs. 
  • Solicit feedback from participants and stakeholders and incorporate insights into program refinement efforts.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in learning and development roles, focusing on project management and content development.
  • Experience working with engineers or in a technical industry is preferred.
  • Strong project management skills, including effectively prioritizing tasks and managing deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and drive initiatives forward in a fast-paced environment.
  • Openness to feedback and willingness to adapt approaches based on input and insights.
  • Proficiency in learning technology tools and platforms, such as learning management systems (LMS), virtual training software, and multimedia authoring tools.
