Interim Talent Development Consultant

This Talent Development Consultant role partners directly with HR leadership to design and launch enterprise learning and compliance strategies during an exciting period of growth. It’s an ideal assignment for a strategic yet hands?on practitioner who enjoys shaping systems, frameworks, and programs that help people grow.

The Interim Talent Development Consultant will partner closely with the HR Director to design, implement, and execute enterprise wide learning, career architecture, and compliance training initiatives. This role will own the learning management system, support career pathway development, and ensure mandatory training requirements are met and audit ready. The consultant will play a key role in strengthening workforce capability, leadership development, and internal mobility during this part-time engagement.

Worksite Location: Hybrid – Eden Prairie, MN

Salary Range: Hourly rate between $45-$60, DOE

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement enterprise learning, career architecture, and compliance training strategies
  • Partner with HR leadership and people leaders to align career paths with business strategy
  • Develop job families, career levels, and progression frameworks to support internal mobility and succession planning
  • Create tools and resources to support employee and manager understanding of career pathways
  • Serve as system owner and administrator for the Learning Management System (LMS), including configuration, content structure, and reporting
  • Manage LMS integrations with HRIS and related talent systems
  • Curate, deploy, and maintain learning content, including role based learning paths and certifications
  • Design and deliver leadership and manager development programs
  • Support performance management and Individual Development Plans (IDPs) with development focused tools
  • Design, administer, and track compliance and mandatory training programs (e.g., harassment prevention, safety, ethics)
  • Partner with Legal, Compliance, and Leadership to ensure training is audit ready and up to date
  • Track learning KPIs and use data to improve program effectiveness and system utilization

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in talent development, learning & development, and/or organizational development
  • Demonstrated success owning and administering a learning management program and associated system
  • Experience designing or managing compliance and mandatory training programs
  • Strong cross functional partnership and stakeholder management skills
  • Solid foundation in adult learning theory and its practical application
  • Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on in a consultant capacity

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Experience designing career architecture or job leveling frameworks
  • Familiarity with Paycom or similar LMS platforms
  • Professional certifications (e.g., SHRM?SCP, ATD, CPLP)
  • Change management experience or certification
  • Experience aligning development programs with talent acquisition and organizational design initiatives
