Total Rewards Manager
City: Minnetonka, MN
The Total Rewards Manager will lead the design, implementation, and administration of compensation, benefits, and payroll programs to attract, retain, and motivate employees. This role analyzes market data, monitors compensation and benefits trends, and ensures programs remain competitive, equitable, and compliant. The Total Rewards Manager partners closely with HR leadership and executive teams to provide data-driven insights and strategic recommendations. Additionally, this role oversees payroll operations to ensure accurate and timely processing across a multi-state workforce.
Salary Range: $103,000 - $130,200

Roles & Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain salary structures, pay scales, and incentive programs aligned with organizational goals and market benchmarks
• Conduct market analysis and compensation benchmarking using salary surveys and external data sources
• Provide data-driven insights and reporting on compensation trends to senior leadership
• Design, administer, and communicate employee benefits programs, including health, retirement, and wellness offerings
• Manage relationships with external benefit vendors, including negotiation and issue resolution
• Monitor internal equity, job leveling, and pay practices to ensure fairness and avoid compression issues
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., FLSA, ERISA)
• Oversee payroll operations to ensure accurate and timely processing across multiple locations
• Lead and support payroll team members, including serving as backup support when needed
• Partner cross-functionally to support evolving workforce needs and diverse employee populations
• Develop and maintain strong internal and external relationships to support organizational effectiveness
• Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree required
• 8+ years of experience in compensation, benefits, or total rewards
• Prior leadership experience managing compensation/benefits or payroll functions
• Experience in multi-state or multi-location organizations
• Strong knowledge of compensation practices, labor laws, and regulatory requirements
• Experience working with HRIS systems (UKG/UltiPro preferred)
• Proven experience managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
